The children, members of KUD Kriva Reka from the village of Berivojce, in the municipality of Kosovska Mitrovica, visited yesterday the University Village in Novi Belgrade’s bloc 67.
They were greeted by representatives of the company Universiade Belgrade 2009 who acquainted them with the history of this year’s biggest sports event to be held in Serbia.
‘Our guests were delighted with the tour of the University Village. Since the children are members of the cultural & artistic club, we invited them to come to Belgrade during the Universiade and take part in our artistic program, dance some of the Kosovo dances and experience the atmosphere at a big sports event’, Tamara Kostro, the PR director of UB2009, said. The guests from Kosovo and Metohija accepted the invitation with great joy.
‘We are very happy that during our visit to Belgrade we were able to see all the sights in the capital. We are honored by the invitation and are glad that we can give our contribution to the Universiade, and at the same time show a part of our Kosovo& Metohija cultural heritage’, said KUD Kriva Reka choreographer, Dragan Antic.
