This venue was under construction work during the Head of Delegation visit but as the members of the city promised they finished everything on time. As Mr. Umicevic said – ‘it will be pleasure for Smederevo to host the Summer Universiade Volleyball competition and athletes will enjoye their time at the Games.

On the way back to Belgrade, the inspection continued by visiting one competition and three training venues for football.

The FISU staff and OC representatives paid attention to the reconstruction works finished just last week at the FC Obilic. This venue still needs progressive works on the pitch but it will be essential to place a new grass carpet just after the end of the national competition. The works will start immediately after May 15th. The last venue visited by Mr. Buchel was FC Makis, a training venue for football with three natural grass pitches. Seasonal maintenance of the pitches cutting, rolling and feeding is in progress according instructions received during the last inspection visit of Mr. Warnock, the FISU Football CT Chair.
