CSU Meeting

The Universiade Supervision Committee (CSU) meeting started today in Erzurum.

The morning was dedicated to inspections and visits. At the Athletes’ Village it was the opportunity to check the stage of the works for the dormitories, the dinning halls and the welcome ceremonies delegations square.

The second part of the visit was dedicated to the sport venues such as the arenas for the ice hockey tournaments and the venue for ski jumping. The persons involved with the protocol visited the stadium for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and for the Medal Awarding Ceremonies that will take place in the center of the city.

The meeting itself started in the afternoon and was opened by Mrs. Kairis Ulp the CSU Chair and by Mr. Bekir Korkmaz, the General Coordinator of the Games.

A complete report of the 25th Universiade preparation was presented by the Organizing Committee.

All aspects of the organization were developed in details:

– venue construction and infrastructure,

– sports,

– transports,

– security,

– accreditation;

– visa procedure;

– protocol;

– media;

– OC work and games coordination;

– finances.

Tomorrow there will be specific meetings with the people involved in each of those departments.
