CESU Meets for the last preparations of the Forum
VIGO – Today, June 20th, the Committee for University Sports Study (CESU) had its last meeting prior to the 10th FISU Forum, which takes place in Vigo, Spain from June 21st to 26th.
The meeting was chaired by 1st Vice-President Claude-Louis Gallien, assisted by the Vice-Chair, Mrs. Alison Odell. The Committee went through the last details of the Forum and confirmed the program and the protocol with the delegates of the Organizing Committee.
FISU President Killian arrives at Vigo Airport
In the meanwhile, FISU President George E. Killian arrived at the airport in Vigo. Mr. Killian, a great supporter of the Forum, will be attending the entire event. FISU Secretary-General/CEO Eric Saintrond also arrived today. Mr. Saintrond is one of the speakers at the Forum.
Since this morning, the accreditation desk at the Bahia Hotel in Vigo, the accommodation facility for the participants, has been quite busy. Indeed, the majority of the participants are arriving today. Delegates from 72 countries are expected, an absolute record for the Forum!
Tomorrow, June 21st, the 10th FISU Forum will be officially opened at 9h30 with the first plenary session ‘Development of Strategic Plans in University Sports at National Level’ starting at 12h00. In the afternoon two more workshops and group discussions are planned.
