2010 WUC Bridge Update: Kaohsiung is Ready

KAOHSIUNG – The 5th World University Bridge Championship is going to be hosted at the National Sun Yat-sen University from 2^nd to 9^th August, 2010 in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei. Today, the college hosted a press conference to announce the 2010 WUC Bridge.

In 2000, the championship became worldwide, then the 1^st World University Bridge Championship (2002) was finally held at Bruges, Belgium. Today, in six days of competition (4^th to 9^th), 14 teams from 10 countries will strive to succeed Poland and China as World University Champions. “We believe we will have a great competition with a high level of bridge.” said Yang Hung-Duen, President of National Sun Yat-sen University.

The opening ceremony of this championship will take place in the Library Building of National Sun Yat-sen University at 3:30 p.m. on August 3^rd. The first round will be played at 9:30 a.m. on August 4^th.
