LJUBLJANA – Students Arena 2010, the largest educational youth fair in Slovenia, took place between October 19th and 21st at the Ljubljana Fair in the capital city of Slovenia. Every year in fall, at the beginning of the new academic year, the fair offers numerous activities and presentations in the fields of education, studies abroad, employment, international cooperation, culture, sport and leisure.
Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA) was present at the fair, presenting the organisation, its programme and activities. At the exhibition booth of SUSA, this year the emphasis over the three-day-exhibit was the national programme of student sports and recreation under the brand Zdrava zabava (healthy fun), and the upcoming international university sports events; mainly the 2nd European Universities Golf Championship – Otocec 2011 and the 26th Winter Universiade – Maribor 2013.
SUSA also organised three round tables at the Arena: Zdrava zabava, on sports activities for the wider student population; Student competitive sports in Slovenia, on league competitions at the universities and national university championships; International sports competitions, on Universiades, World University Championships, European Universities Championships and other international sports competitions and events.
The fair in its 11th edition this year attracted about 20,000 visitors and 140 organisations and companies, including several universities, faculties, other educational institutions, organizations dealing with studies and internships, exchanges, national institutions, humanitarian, voluntary, and other NGOs, international organizations, cultural institutions, and organizations and companies offering sports and leisure-time activities.
