2013 SU Update: Kazan 2013 Office holds Session with Officials of Technical Schools and Colleges

KAZANThe Kazan 2013 Office held a visiting session of the Council of Deputy Directors of Kazan’s specialized secondary education establishments.

The meeting saw the attendance of Farida Galliullina, Head of the Department of specialized secondary education establishments of Kazan’s Committee for Child and Youth Affairs, Heads of Departments of the Kazan 2013 Executive Committee and representatives of 27 specialized secondary education establishments of Kazan. Cooperation of the Kazan 2013 Office with technical schools and colleges and involvement of students in preparation of the 2013 University Games was the main subject of discussion. The officials of specialized secondary education establishments came up with the idea to set up the Towards the Universiade information stands in each educational institution.

The Council reached a decision to prepare resource materials for academic activity in order to promote the ideas of the 2013 University Games and popularization of healthy lifestyle among students. The participants of the visiting session also agreed to organize 2013 Universiade presentations in Kazan’s technical schools and colleges and host information relating to Kazan 2013 on their web-sites.

Within the event, the attendees saw presentations of the 27th World University Summer Games and its volunteer program.

Due to the importance attached to cooperation with specialized secondary education establishments in promotion of the 2013 University Games, a meeting between the officials of the Kazan 2013 Executive Office and educational specialists of technical schools and colleges is scheduled for December 2010. Besides, it is expected that the new season of the Team 2012 Project will be launched in March 2011 which will involve students of specialized secondary education establishments.
