KAZAN – These days Deputy Director-General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Committee Ildar Nizamutdinov and Mayor of the Universiade Village Farid Abdulganiev are on an official visit in London. The purpose of the visit is to participate in the international exhibition ‘Technology World’.
While at the exhibition the delegates of the Kazan 2013 Executive Committee met with CEOs of the largest international companies, Selex and Transport for London among them. During the talks the top managers reported their achievements in the fields of innovation and technology.
Specifically, Transport for London representatives shared their experience of a unique project, i.e. the Oyster Travel Card, which so far found implementation only in London, Singapore and Hong Kong. The Oyster Card system takes note of interests and fares of all carriers, provides a careful data analysis, what’s really important in the city that sees 12 million rides daily. Among Osyter Crad holders there are 82% of London underground users and 96% of bus users. According to Transport for London, such system allows to service effectively guests and participants of largest cultural and sporting events of megapolises. The Oyster Card will enable tourists and athletes of the 2012 London Olympics to travel freely around the city.
In total, Technology World brought together over 200 delegates from 750 companies of world-wide reputation, including such giants of modern technology as Ericsson, Fujitsu, Nokia, Vodafone, Microsoft.
The whole day yesterday and today the Kazan 2013 delegates have been delivering presentations of the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan to the guests and exhibitors.
