MSSF Awards its Best Athletes

ULAANBAATAR – Since 1992, the Mongolian Student Sports Federation (MSSF) organizes its annual best university sports award ceremony. At the end of December, 2010 MSSF awarded its Best Student Athletes of 2010 in the Central Sports Palace, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The following athletes and coaches received an award:

– Grand Master Ms. Munguntuul. B – a student at Moscow Pedagogical University, women’s individual gold medalist and 1^st place team classification from the 11^th World University Chess Championship which was held in Switzerland from 5th-12th of September, 2010.

Tugstsogt.N– Tugstsogt. N, a student at Mongolian Police Academy, a silver medallist at the Senior World Boxing Championship 2009 in Milan, Italy and a gold medalist- 52 kg at the 4^th World University Boxing Championship which was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from October 4^th to 10^th, 2010. He also received the best boxer trophy named after former FISU EC member Aleksey Kiselev (+) at the 4^th World University Boxing Championship.

These two students were awarded with the ‘Best Mongolian Student Athlete of 2010 Award’ by the Mongolian Student Sports Federation.

– The Basketball Team of Mongolian Trade and Commerce University, bronze medallists at the 3^rd Asian University Basketball Championship which was held in Chinese Taipei from October 3^rd to 8^th, 2010 was selected as Best University Team. Some of those players have participated successfully in the 16^th Asian Games which were held in Guangzhou, China, from November 11^th to 27^th 2010 winning team against Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

– Mr. Tseverbal. Ts, the coach of the Best team Mongolian Trade and Commerce University, was awarded as ‘Best Students Coach’. Therefore, International Master Mr. Jigjidsuren.P, the Chess coach of MSSF for the 11^th World University Chess Championship also received this award.

– Mr. Bandi. D, coach of the National University Boxing team received the special award from MSSF. The Mongolian National University Boxing Team ended on the 1^st place at the 4^th World University Boxing Championship.
