2011 WU Update: Final Checkings For Opening & Closing Ceremonies

ERZURUM – The Awarding Ceremony Directorate,is helding the final checking of the Opening & Closing Ceremonies and the medal awarding ceremonies. At the awarding ceremonies 122 volunteers (63 are men and 59 women) will be participating. Final checkings were held at the 3,000 capacity ice hockey arena, at the 2,000 capacity figure skating hall and at the curling hall.

Opening and Closing and Medal Awarding Ceremony Director Kenan Şebin informed about the last checkings: ‘Our rehearsals will continue for a week. Our aim is to avoid any problem that may arise at the medal awarding ceremonies’. Snow sports medal ceremonies will be held in the Double Minaret Madrasah, whereas ice sports ceremonies will be held in the arenas where the competitions will be held.
