EUSA and AUSF Cooperation

ERZURUM – Following the desire to encourage and promote mutual cooperation in university sports, Mr Alberto Gualtieri, President of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and Mr Xinsheng Zhang, President of the Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF) signed on January 27th, 2011 the Protocol on cooperation between EUSA and AUSF.

The protocol foresees the cooperation on the fields of organization of Intercontinental Universities Competitions between selected universities from the continents in various sports, organization of joint conferences and seminars in the university sports matters, exchange of experts, researchers, specialists, students, managing and leadership staff as well as the exchange of knowledge, information, publications or other documentation related to university sport. The protocol also defines joint promotion of activities of the organizations among members, universities and students and coordination in representation of interests of continental university sports federations in the international university sport movement.

Present at the signing were also Vice-Presidents, Secretary Generals and members of the Executive Committees of both federations, as well as the Vice-President and Secretary-General of FISU, Mr Stefan Bergh and Mr Eric Saintrond and some Executive Committee Members of FISU.
