ERZURUM – February 5th –The “mass start” event was the last in the biathlon competition at the Universiade. No one was happier today than the FISU biathlon technical delegate, Czech Ondrej Rybar. And we are not referring to how smoothly all the events ran under the supervision of himself and the IBU delegate Ubaldo Prucker. No, what made his day was the magnificent show offered by the competitors in Kandili for the final of this first ever International Biathlon competition held in Turkey.
Indeed, Artem Pryma from Ukraine gained his fourth Medal and his third Gold today. He was the strongest without any doubt. He made only two shooting mistakes and finished 9 seconds ahead of Bulgarian Krasimir Anev and 9.2 seconds ahead of Alexey Trusov (RUS) another medallist of previous days.
The Last Gold Medal of this Biathlon competition went to Maria Sadilova from Russia followed by her teammate Anna Kunaeva and Stefanie Hilderbrand from Germany.
