SHENZHEN – Omar Al Hai, EC member and Chair of the International Control Committee (CIC); Louis Nel, Vice-Chair of the CIC; Shen Zhen, member of the CIC and Laurent Briel, Director of Championships had a meeting with the officials of the Shenzhen Organizing Committee in charge of accreditation. The meeting was held at the Wuzhou Guesthouse, the hotel where the Heads of Delegation meeting takes place.
At the CIC meeting, an animation was presented showing the project that the OC has set up for accreditation. This animation will also be presented during the HoD meeting. The organizers also demonstrated the accreditation system. The quality and effectiveness of the system has delighted the CIC members. After this demonstration a session of questions and answers concluded the first part of the workday.
The online and offline registration system has also impressed the CIC delegates and a more practical demonstration will also take place at the last session of the HoD meeting.
The members of the CIC were then invited to visit the Athletes’ Village to discover the Accreditation Centre. The Chair of the CIC was delighted that these facilities will be available. The CIC members had the opportunity to discuss the arrangement of the CIC offices with the OC delegates and have agreed on a common plan.
