SHENZHEN – From May 9th to 13th, FISU Summer Universiade Director, Mr. Marc Vandenplas, together with the Assistant to the Universiade, Ms. Jing Zhao and the IT&C Adviser, Ms. Mirjana Cvijanovic are staying in Shenzhen for the whole week to discuss the IT&C issues with the Shenzhen Organizing Committee for the upcoming Summer Universiade.
The whole-week-meeting started with Timing & Scoring and Info System, with the presence of China Sports Information Centre, Swiss Timing, Shenzhen Telekom and Shenzhen Organizing Committee. For the following 4 days, the discussion will cover most of the topics concerning IT&C, including Accreditation System, Arrival and Departure System, Uniform Management System, Accommodation Management System, TV Graphics, etc.
During the same period, FISU CT Chairs of Athletics, Mr. Tapani Ilkka and Mr. Till Lufft, are in Shenzhen for a further inspection as well. Several meetings will be held with Sports and Venue Departments to discuss the daily schedules, competition and training venues and other relevant issues.
The FISU delegates will also take the chance to meet with other Functional Departments, e.g. Athletes’ Village, ITO Service, Sport Entries, Publications, etc., during this visit.
