COSTA RICA – The Opening Ceremony of JUNCOS, the Costarican University Games, took place last Friday, May 6th. More than 300 artists on stage performed a show for an estimated 1,500 people attending the colorful ceremony.
The rain did not stop the realization of a show that sought to unify and promote the college fellowship.
The show was directed by professors from the Department of Culture of the TEC (Tecnológico de Costa Rica) and was starred by students of this university.
“We are happy with everything we have achieved so far with the organization of JUNCOS, we now expect a sportive and clean Games in the University Spirit”, said Rosaura Mendez, Executive Director of University Sports Games in Costa Rica, JUNCOS TEC 2011.
JUNCOS is the biggest sportive event between universities in Costa Rica and is held from May 6th to 14th.
