KAZAN – Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with FISU President George E. Killian, who arrived inKazan at the head of the delegation to attend the International Conference ‘Sport. Education. Culture.’
The meeting also saw attendance of Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, President of the Russian Student Sports Union Oleg Matytsin, Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan and First Deputy Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Azat Kadyrov.
Rustam Minnikhanov and George E. Killian had a discussion of the preparations and staging of the 27th World University Summer Games, construction of sports venues, etc. The Kazan 2013 legacy and operation of the FISU International Education Centre became other topics on the agenda, the press service of the Tatarstan President informs. The FISU Centre is expected to become an innovative project designed to train qualified specialists for world university sports and consulting support to major university sport projects.
The main session of the Conference will start at 2pm on June 17th in the Korston Hotel and Mall. The presentation of the FISU International Education Centre is scheduled to be held at 7pm on June 18th.
