BRUSSELS – As 2012 approaches, FISU is getting ready for the World University Championships to be organized next year. In four months the first WUC 2012 will start launching the campaign.
Indeed, 28 championships will be hosted on 26 cities from 17 countries on 5 continents from January to December 2012.
Three sports will figure for the first time in the program of the FISU World University Championships, namely 3 on 3 Basketball, Netball and Long Track Speed Skating which will take place respectively in Kragujevac (SRB), Cape Town (RSA) and Zakopane (POL).
As every two years, the World University Championships will be an opportunity for top athletes studying all around the world to gather and compete together in a high level competition devoted to those who combine sport performance and intellectual excellence.
