2012 WUC Update: Rowing to take place in Banyoles (ESP)

BRUSSELS – Spain and the Comite Español del Deporte Universitario (CEDU) will host from September 7^th to 9^th, 2012 the best student rowers in Banyoles – in the surrounding of Girona – for the 12^th World University Rowing Championship. With three WUC organizing in 2012 and a large experience in the past, the CEDU is one of the very active members of FISU.

An inspection visit of the racing course took place earlier this year, by FISU Rowing CT Chair Lionel GIRARD and FISU WUC Director Laurent BRIEL who had the opportunity to visit a high standard venue and to answer the last questions of the Organizing Committee.

Rowing is one of the World University Championships attracting the highest number of athletes with around 350 athletes taking part for the four last past editions.
