BRUSSELS – In December 2011, FISU and the World Bridge Federation (WBF) will start the 3rd World Online University Team Championships on BBO!
This event is an online knock-out competition between countries where the schedule is determined by draw. The participants will start by playing in groups, with finals afterwards. A country can enter an unlimited number of teams. Teams must be composed of 4 to 6 university players and a captain must be indicated. For each player, you must enter: name, surname, birthday, nationality, university or high school, country.
Both captains have some time to schedule and play a match of 32 boards. After the match, the result must be sent directly to [email protected] (with a copy to [email protected]).
Results will be published on and on the Facebook page “Uni Bridge”
Players can participate under the following conditions:
– enrolled at a university or high school (or 1 year after or before studies);
– being between 17 and 28 years old;
– having the nationality from the country you represent.
Candidates can enter from now until November 25th, 2011 by sending an e-mail to [email protected] (with copy to [email protected]).
After receiving all entries and after the draw, each captain will be informed for the next match. Competitions will start in December 2011.
We trust on your fair-play and friendship, important values for FISU and WBF. Any violation against fair-play will not be accepted and have severe consequences. At captain’s request, Kuba can be the Tournament Director during the match.
