19 December 2011

BRUSSELS – Further to the first Executive Committee meeting held from November 28th to 29th, FISU appointed new committees. The World University Championships now have a new International Technical Committee (CTI) which will be chaired for the four next years by Leonz EDER (SUI), FISU Vice President assisted by two vice chairs, Luciano CABRAL (BRA) FISU Vice President and Aitor CANIBE SANCHEZ (ESP). This committee composed of the technical chairs for each sport in the program of the World University Championships is in charge of insuring a smooth running of the events, and to help the Organizing Committees regarding all technical and logistical matters related to the Championships. Including experienced and new members, the CTI 2011-2015 will work closely with the FISU staff and the Organizing Committees to ensure the best technical input and the best possible organization.
