AK BARS Bank launches Kazan 2013 branded Multiservice Cards

KAZAN – As part of the partnership agreement with the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate, AK BARS Bank announced the launch of its new banking product. A Kazan 2013 branded multiservice card was presented to media outlets on Wednesday, June 6th.

The card was introduced to ensure that competitors and spectators will be provided with comfortable services during the 2013 Summer Universiade. The new product will facilitate banking services and help to turn payments for goods and services, access to Games venues and Kazan 2013 event ticket booking into a quick and safe experience. All these measures are taken to make sure that at Games time, when Kazan will play host to up to 100,000 visitors from Russia and abroad, the guests of the city will have no problems when paying for goods and services. Regular bank card and cash payments very often take a lot of time and are hardly a secure way to pay.

AK BARS Bank’s new cards with MasterCard PayPass technology allow their holders to make daily payments in just a few seconds, with one touch only. MasterCard PayPass card owners may use the cards for instant payments with no signature or PIN required for purchases of less than 1,000 rubles on the territory of the Russian Federation. The cards can be used wherever cards bearing their logo (MasterCard PayPass) are accepted. The card holders do not have to hand their card to a cashier to scan, which ensures additional safety measures.

Besides, AK BARS Bank’s multiservice cards can also be used as a transport card to pay for travel on all types of public transport in Kazan and other cities of Tatarstan where the Automated Fare Collection System is available. The cards allow their holders to join the Friend of Company loyalty programme which offers various benefits, discounts or up to 20% cash back bonuses when purchasing from more than 200 partners of the programme.

One of the most convenient services of the new banking product is a possibility to attach Kazan 2013 event tickets to the multiservice card.
