Excellent Golf Results of University Golfers at Ypsilon Golf Resort

LIBEREC – The second competition day of the 14th World University Golf Championship awoke to the foggy weather, that was the reason for a 20 minutes delay of teetimes in the women’s competition. Despite the bad weather, after this small delay the first flights of women in the second round were released. Together with thirty flights which needed to complete the first round due to the bad weather of the day before. The rest of the day was really beautiful weather, so the audience, which came on the golf course enjoyed the great performances of the players who fully appreciate the quality of the golf course Ypsilonka.

Men’s Competition

In the Men´s individual competition after yesterday’s play three Spanish players are seeded top three: Carlos Pigem Xammar 64 (total score 133), together with Juan Sarasti Bernaras 64 (133) and Jacobo Pastor Lopez 69 (133) with the same overall score stands on the third spot.

In the Men´s team competition the results are as follows: a first place for Spain (399), followed by Ireland (419) and Great Britain (419).

Women’s Competition

In the women´s competition played Emilie Burger 65 (140) is inthe lead, followed by Amy Anderson 69 (136) (USA) and Julia Davidson (SWE) 73 (137).

In the Women´s team competition, the top three positions are held by the teams of USA (273), Spain (280) and Sweden (281).
