LIBEREC – Yesterday, July 5th, once again stormy weather came spoiling the fun delaying the competition.
Men’s Competition
Philip Ericsson from Sweden cut through the Spanish domination in the men’s individual competition of the 14th WUC Golf in Liberec, Czech Republic. With his result of 64 and a total score of 200 Ericsson moves up after the third round leaving Spanish golfer Carlos Pigem Xammara who is 68 (total 201) and his national team colleague Jacobo Pastor Lopez 70 (203) behind him.
In the Men’s Team competition the Spanish (605) are still in the lead, trailed by Ireland (628) and Sweden (629).
Women’s Competition
The women´s competition did not finish due to the stormy weather and the girls will complete their third round today. Provisional standings after the third day of competition brings Amy Anderson (USA) to lead the ranking with a score of 68 (total 204) before Marta Sanz Barrio (ESP) and Camila Hedberg Bertrand (ESP).
In the women’s team competition, after the 3rd day of play, 1st place goes to Team USA (409), followed by Team Spain (411) and Team Germany (419).
Today the final round is played to determine the overall ranking.
