Kazan 2013 invites Futur Hosts to apply for the Observer Programme

4 February 2013

KAZAN Pre-registration for the Kazan 2013 Observer Programme is still open for the Organising Committees of future Universiades and multi-sports events.

The Observer programme participants will be gaining invaluable experience of how the Summer Universiade events are organised. The programme provides the Organising Committees with the opportunities to learn from other multi-sport events and build a new knowledge, based on lessons learned.

Please be aware that the closing date for receipt of the pre-registration application form is March 1st, followed by the official registration period from March 1st to April 1st.

The Organising Committees can start gaining deep insight into various operational aspects of the 2013 Summer Universiade on June 29th, just a few days before the official opening of the World University Games on July 6th, 2013. The Organising Committees of future Summer and Winter Universiades, World Championships and many other sporting events will be able to observe sport operations both inside and outside the field of play: from ‘meet and greet’ services at the airport to staging the Games Opening/Closing Ceremonies.

The Executive Committee has begun accepting applications last December and there is one month to go until the pre-registration deadline. The official registration based on the applications submitted by the Organising Committees of future Universiades and multi-sport events starts March 1st, 2013.
