11th National University Games in Azerbaijan in Progress

BAKU – The 11th Respublika Universiade 2013 is currently underway and runs from March to May. 30 unviersities participate in these games with competitions in 12 sports, i.e. Draughts, Chess, Judo, Wrestling Freestyle, Wrestling Greco Roman Style, Table Tennis, Basketball, Handball, Badminton, Volleyball, Athletics and Swimming.

So far the following competitions came to an end:

Judo

70 athletes from 15 teams  

I place – Azerbaijan Medical University

II place – Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University

III place – Azerbaijan State Technical University

Wrestling

Freestyle: 72 athletes from 17 teams

I place   – Baku State University

II place – Azerbaijan State University of Economics

III place – Azerbaijan Medical University

III place – Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy

Greco-Roman Style: 58 athletes from 10 teams

I place – Azerbaijan Medical University

II place – Baku State University

III place – Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy

Draughts

48 athletes from 13 teams

II place – Azerbaijan University of Languages

III place – Azerbaijan State University of Economics

Chess

52 athletes from 14 teams
