2013 Winter Conference: New Deadline for Submission

An international conference on “University Sport: Inspiring Innovation” will be held on 9-10 December 2013 in the framework of the 26th Winter Universiade in Trentino, to analyse the role of sports as a source of inspiration for research. The objective is to convey the idea that sports can inspire innovation, improve education efficiency and foster development and employment. The Conference is organised by the University of Trento at the Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art (MART) in Rovereto (Trento), Italy.

University sports are a potential source of inspiration for innovation as well as a driving force for scientific and technological progress in various fields. The concept of sports as a tool to stimulate friendship and research is the keystone of one of the most significant events of the upcoming Winter Universiade, a sports and university event to be held from 11 to 21 December 2013 on the snow-capped fields of Trentino.

The Organising Committee is extending the paper & demo submission deadline from 30 September to 15 October.
