GWANGJU – FISU Media Director Dejan Susovic, along with FISU IT Consultant Mirjana Cvijanovic, visited Gwangju on 4 November, for a two-day meeting concerning the preparations for IT and Broadcasting during the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade (GU 2015).
Following the FISU Inspection, which occurred last October, this meeting was arranged to check each of the specific fields with the related personnel and receive professional advice. The areas covered during the meeting include: Accreditation system, Arrival and Departure system, Athletes’ Village services, Accommodation management system, and other systems that are part of the Total Integration Management System (TIMS).

Also, it was an opportunity to gather in-depth advice from experts concerning the production of an international signal and the selection of a host broadcaster, both of which were emphasized for early preparations during the Kazan debriefing meeting held last month.
On finishing off the two-day meeting, FISU Media Director Dejan Susovic commented: “We are very happy that we have been able to open the line of communication with Gwangju and FISU will continue to give its full support in any aspect for the success of the Gwangju Universiade.”
The Secretary-General of the Gwangju Universiade Organizing Committee Kim Yoon Suk also attended the meeting and expressed his gratitude towards FISU for giving expert advice on special areas such as IT and Broadcasting. He also added, “We will do our utmost to prepare a meticulous system for a successful Universiade.”
