2013 Winter Universiade: the OC and FISU Protocol Teams meet in Trento

TRENTO – On 13 and 14 November 2013 the FISU Protocol Team, composed of Kole Gjeloshaj, Director Educational Services, and Gwenaëlle Brugallé, Language Services Coordinator, was in Trento to meet with the Trentino 2013 OC Protocol Team headed by Marilena Defrancesco. During this two-day meeting, the teams covered all aspects related to protocol as well as the opening, closing and victory ceremonies of the next Winter Universiade.

The opening ceremony of the 2013 Winter Universiade will take place on the main square of Trento on 11 December at 18:00, while the closing ceremony will be held in Canazei on 21 December at 18:00. As for medal-awarding ceremonies, there will be three medal plazas for snow sports (Trento, Predazzo and Moena), whereas victory ceremonies for ice sports will take place in the competition venues.

The meeting was very fruitful and enabled to reinforce the existing good cooperation between FISU and the Trentino 2013 Organising Committee. No doubt, the ceremonies of the upcoming Universiade will be great. See you at the opening ceremony on 11 December!
