TRENTO – Yesterday it has been a special day for the 2013 Trentino Winter Universiade. The Italian Minister for Sport, Graziano Delrio, has praised publicly the enlightening success of the 2013 Universiade during a very symbolic meeting with the Italian President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano, with the President of CONI Giovanni Malagò and the Italian delegation, which will participate at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.
In his introductory remark, the Italian Minister for Sport has expressed his gratitude to the work of the Organizing Committee and Sergio Anesi, President of the Universiade who was present for the occasion as member of the Executive Committee of CONI.
At the same time, in Trentino, the Winter Universiade Team has welcomed the Sport Business Academy, a joint venture of Bocconi University and RCS Sport. The Sport Business Academy has visited the Universiade Centre in Trento, has followed attentively a general introduction by Filippo Bazzanella (Secretary General) and a series of presentation on the marketing strategy of the Universiade by Maurizio Rossini & his Team. The Sport Business Academy travelled to Val di Fiemme and visited the sport venues of Predazzo/Lago di Tesero, where they had the occasion to listen to the local perspectives by Bruno Felicietti and an academic presentation by Francesco Anesi.
During a convivial moment at the ski jumping facilities, the Sport Business Academy had the occasion to listen to the words of FISU Vice-President, Leonz Eder, who explained in a very informative presentation the organization and the philosophy of FISU, who praised the organizational capacity of the 2013 Trentino Organizing Committee and who created a special moment of reflection on university and sport.
