27th Winter Universiade: Protocol Work Meeting in Granada

GRANADA On 9 January, Leonz Eder FISU Vice-President and head of Protocol together with Kolë Gjeloshaj coordinator for the Protocol had meetings in Granada, the host city of the next Winter Universiade that will be organized from 4 to 14 February, 2015. David Cabello, member of the FISU Executive Committee welcomed the FISU delegates and acted as liaison between the FISU delegates and the members of the Organising Committee.

The first meeting was focused on the definition of the needs of the OC in terms of human resources and material in order to fulfill the protocol activities of the Universiade. It was also the opportunity to establish operational procedures between FISU and the OC. The protocol team of the OC is enlarging and is mainly composed of civil servants working for the protocol of the city, the region, the province and the university.

In the second part of the day, the meetings were dedicated to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. The members of the delegation visited the sites were the ceremonies will be held. The persons preparing the cultural programme of the Universiade and of the Ceremonies made a presentation of the projects.
