FISU SG/CEO meets with Slovak Authorities

Minister of Education, Science, Research & Sport Dusan CAPLOVIC with FISU SG/CEO Eric Saintrond

BRATISLAVA – At the headquarters of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research & Sport in Bratislava (SVK), FISU Secretary General/CEO Eric SAINTROND and Winter Universiade Director Milan AUGUSTIN were joined by the President of the Slovak University Sports Association Julius DUBOVSKY, SAUS Vice-President and Vice-Chair of the FISU Medical Committee Dr. Dusan HAMAR, as well as the Mayor of the Municipality of Strba Michal SYKORA, for an official meeting with the Minister of Education, Science, Research & Sport Dusan CAPLOVIC and General Director of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research & Sport (Youth & Sport) Ladislav CAMBAL.

The main topic of the discussion was the organisation of the Nordic Skiing and Biathlon competitions of the 2015 Winter Universiade in Strbske Pleso and Osrblie.

Minister Caplovic confirmed his full support to the project which will represent a great opportunity for the student-athletes to compete in 2015 in some of the venues that hosted two previous Winter Universiades (1987 & 1999).
