BRASILIA – Only two more weeks to go until the kick-off of the 12th edition of the World University Triathlon Championship which will be hosted in Brasília, Brazil, on 20 April. Last week, the CBDU President and FISU Vice-President Luciano Cabral together with CBDU Technical Director Mario Ferro travelled to the host city for a meeting with the Secretary of Sports of the Federal District Government (GDF), in order to talk about the final adjustments for the WUC.

The FISU single sport event will take place during the 54th anniversary celebration of the foundation of Brasilia. The championship will also mark the city’s first activity in the run towards the 30th Summer Universiade since Brasilia is also the host city of FISU’s major event in 2019.

“We are focused and have all the support from the Federal District Government to make this World University Championship the calling card of Brasília. We are working hard to offer to the world, the best Universiade ever”, Luciano Cabral commented.
