LEGNICA – There’s are only one day left to the opening of the 10th World University Archery Championship. Legnica (POL) is ready for this event and is waiting for the student-athletes and officials from all over the world. So far, twelve national teams have already arrive in Legnica. The organizers are waiting for about twenty more. Moreover, on Monday 30 June, Juan Carlos Holgado, FISU Technical Delegate for Archery arrived in the host city.
Yesterday, 30 June, the competitors had the possibility for their first practice session at 10 a.m. Some teams like South Korea, Mexico, Malaysia or The Netherlands took advantage of this day to test the venue. Other delegations like Team USA went to Wroclaw to sightsee the capital of Lower Silesia.
Monday was also a day of strenuous labor for the Organizing Committee that was focused on preparing and providing accreditations for competitors and coaching staffs. Furthermore, the volunteers were improving the last technical details on the venues. Today, Tuesday 1 July, will be a day of last confirmations concerning the Opening Ceremony which takes place on Wednesday, 2July at 3:30 p.m. in the city centre and is connected with the inauguration of a folklore festival.
