Kole Gjeloshaj, FISU Director of Education and coordinator for protocol and security
GWANGJU – Started from 21 July, the 2015 SU Inspection Visit to Gwangju was concluded on the afternoon of 24 July at the 2015 SU Organising Committee Headquarters.
During this inspection, the FISU delegates (Kole Gjeloshaj, FISU Director of Education and coordinator for protocol and security; Jing Zhao, Summer Universiade Manager and Seungchul Go, FISU Staff) conducted face to face interviews with key functional areas in order to follow up the progress and out-come from the FISU seminar and last inspection, and also delivered their requirements and know-how on various topics, such as protocol, ceremonies, education, language services, etc.
Fruitful functional areas meetings were held between the Organising Committee and the FISU delegates. Following the inspection programme, the key functional areas presented their organisational planning, current progress and key milestones for the next steps. Question and answer sessions were arranged to enable further discussion between the functions and FISU, and to better understand and improve the work planning. While confirming the positive progress in the majority of the fields, the FISU delegates have highly emphasised the necessity of cross functional planning and the close communication among different functional areas of the Organising Committee. As the 28th Summer Universiade is approaching, it is of essential importance for the functions to work together and to reach the cross-functional integration. Closer communication with FISU was also highly recommended in order to facilitate the cooperation.
