2015 WU Update: Uggi present at Granada Half Marathon

GRANADA – The past weekend Uggi appeared in the streets of Granada, one of the host cities of the 2015 Winter Universiade.

Saturday afternoon, 4 October, a “Family Race” was held in Granada. 1,500 children participated, dressed with a t-shirt depicting the Granada mascot Uggi to promote the Winter Universiade.

Sunday morning, 5 October, the “Half Marathon of Granada”, took place with 3,250 adults participating, also wearing t-shirts with the logo of the Universiade. The mascot UGGI was present along the whole event, with a more relevant presence in the awards ceremony. Some 350 Universiade volunteers were involved as well, helping along the race track.
