GWANGJU – During the Gwangju Universiade there will be a medical clinic in the Athletes’ Village. There will also be 56 designated Universiade hospitals to ensure the delegations have healthcare outside the Athletes’ Village.
The Gwangju 2015 Universiade Organizing Committee (GUOC) signed an agreement with 56 hospitals and medical organizations on December 23rd.
According to the Universiade Gwangju 2015 president Yoon Jang-hyun, the partner hospitals and medical staff have a key role in helping the competitors to achieve their best. He said, “I would like to urge the designated hospitals to do their best to respond quickly and provide athletes with the best treatment they require. In addition, I hope the World University Games can be an opportunity to show the world how advanced Gwangju medical services are.”
