LAUSANNE – The International University Sports Federation (FISU), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Gwangju Universiade Organising Committee (GUOC) have partnered to develop a new resource to support universities from all over the world, in introducing the topic of the fight against doping in sport.
The FISU-WADA-GUOC Anti-Doping Programme aims to encourage universities and institutions of higher education to provide their students with model curricula that would give them a comprehensive overview of doping in sport and issues related to it in the framework of their studies. The concrete outcomes are an e-textbook for students and support teaching material for instructors, all accessible free of charge through an online platform, the .
After a successful pilot phase, the programme is now ready to go live, with a launching ceremony scheduled during the forthcoming FISU Summer Universiade Conference, on 11 July 2015 in Gwangju, Republic of Korea.
