GWANGJU – On 27 June, FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien landed at the Incheon International Airport (Seoul) for the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju. The officials of the Gwangju Universiade Organizing Committee (GUOC) gave him a warm welcome from Incheon Airport.
FISU President Gallien was invited to attend the first Heads of Delegation Daily Meeting in the Athletes’ Village.

In addition, FISU Secretary-General Eric Saintrond arrived in Gwangju on 24 June and attended the Opening Ceremony of the Athletes’ Village on 26 June to celebrate and support the opening.
FISU President Gallien, Secretary-General Saintrond and FISU officials will attend the FISU Executive Committee (EC), which will be held from 30 June to 1 July, to evaluate the readiness of each Universiade host city and future host cities such as the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade and the 2017 Almaty Winter Universiade.
