KRASNOYARSK – FISU delegates are in Krasnoyarsk from 26 to 30 July for an inspection visit of the 2019 WU host city. The main topics to be discussed will be the dynamics of venues preparation, medical services for the WU2019 participants, preparation of the venues for TV coverage and press communications.
During the inspection visit the following officials will meet with the organizers of the Students’ games in Krasnoyarsk: Dejan SUSOVIC, FISU Chief Operating Officer; Milan AUGUSTIN, FISU Winter Universiade Director; Jiho KIM, Executive Assistant of FISU Winter Universiade Department; Dusan HAMAR, FISU Chair of the International Medical Committee and Laszlo Szakadati, Head of Client Services of Swiss Timing Ltd.
A considerable part of the visit will be devoted to issues of medical services at the WInter Universiade. Dusan Hamar will visit the construction site of the new surgery clinic of the Krasnoyarsk Emergency Care Hospital. Dr. Hamar will also give a lecture at KECH to discuss various nuances of medical services at major international competitions. Additionally, the participants will discuss the readiness of the Academy of Biathlon and Bobrovy Log Fan Park to provide medical services to participants of the 2019 Winter Universiade and participants of the test events. The venue is being prepared by Nornickel Mining and Metallurgy Company, the General Partner of the 2019 Winter Universiade.
During the visit the delegates will once again inspect all the venues of the 2019 Winter Universiade. Their goal will be to assess the progress of construction, reconstruction and refurbishment of sports venues of the Games. Special attention will be paid to Platinum Arena, a multifunctional sport and entertainment center and ice arena, as the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games. The delegates will also assess broadcasting facilities and discuss timing and scoring. For this purpose, the delegation includes Laszlo Szakadati, a representative of the main supplier of timing equipment for FISU Universiades, Swiss Timing Ltd.
