Head of the delegation, Dejan Susovic, said that the experts visited all the venues under construction and held a number of thematic sessions dedicated to medical service provision for participants, preparing venues for live coverage of events, and organizing the work of mass media. “On behalf of all my colleagues I would like to say that I am happy with the current level of preparedness. We see obvious progress in every area of the plan,” FISU Chief Operating Officer said.

Dusan Hamar also said that he was satisfied with the visit. “We have discussed all the aspects of medical service provision at the competitions with the medical community. The new building of the Krasnoyarsk Emergency Care Hospital is being built actively, the equipment and staff of all the facilities involved in medical support of the Winter Universiade will correspond to all our requirements,” Chair of FISU International Medical Committee said.

Milan Augustin, FISU Winter Universiade Director, talked about a number of issues that will have to be solved in the future. Mostly, these issues concerned use of particular event venues. Another issue concerned effective organization of traffic and transport routes in the Universiade Village and in the city in general. The Chairman of the Government of Krasnoyarsk Region said that development of road infrastructure, reconstruction of current roads and construction of new roads in Krasnoyarsk are a part of the city’s preparation plans for the Winter Universiade.

“We consider every issue that you noted during the inspection as very important. Our professional teams will take your comments into consideration by all means. The Government of the Krasnoyarsk Region and the Governor himself have been paying considerable attention to preparing for the Winter Universiade. Every meeting with FISU experts allows us to evaluate the state of preparation for the Games, exchange opinions on the state of affairs, find new effective solutions to complex questions, and agree on the next steps to take. I think this approach will allow us to complete all the tasks that stand before us with good quality and in due time,” the head of the Krasnoyarsk Region Government said.

The next visit of FISU representatives (members of the FISU Technical Committee) is expected on August 8 2016.
