ALMATY – Today, the FISU Winter Universiade Supervision Committee held a working meeting in Almaty. During the meeting, the members of CSU-H and FISU representatives were given an interim report on accomplished work and discussed series of issues concerning different functional areas of the Organizing Directorate.
The meeting was comprised of FISU First Vice-President Leonz Eder, Secretary General / CEO, Eric Saintrond, CSU-H Chair Marian Dymalski, CSU-H Vice-Chair Kairis Ulp, FISU CMI Chair Dusan Hamar, FISU CTI-UH Chair Roger Roth, FISU CTI-UH Vice-Chair Robert Philip, Winter Universiade Director Milan Augustin, FISU staff and Organizing Directorate representatives.

The FISU CSU-H Chair Marian Dymalski noted a huge amount of work done by the Organizing Directorate.
“During the 1st CSU Meeting we had some problems that had to be solved, and currently most of the challenges have been settled. Now, we have to face with new issues, so it is time to concentrate on them. I am convinced that together we will do our best to organize a great event”, stated Marian Dymalski.
During the meeting, the Almaty 2017 WU Organizing Directorate presented a progress report on current preparation for the WU 2017.
On 15 September, Almaty will host the Heads of Delegation Meeting of participating countries for the 28th Winter Universiade 2017 in Almaty. During the meeting, the issues of preparation and staging the WU 2017 will be discussed. Besides, inspection visits to WU venues will be organized.
