Team Korean proved to be stronger than Sri Lanka (4:1). Both the Malaysian and Thai teams outclassed their opponents beating them (5:0), respectively versus Poland and Canada. Also Chinese Taipei beat Slovakia (5:0). Host Russia beat Japan (3-2).
