2017 WU: The Coca-Cola Company joins as Official Partner

ALMATY – On 8 November, 2016, the Almaty 2017 Winter Universiade Organizing Directorate and the Coca-Cola Company announced their cooperation, in the framework of which, Coca-Cola became a partner and official provider of soft drinks for the Games.

As a ‘Universiade partner’ Coca-Cola will provide all participants and guests of the games with its soft drinks and required cooling facilities.

Besides, in order to promote this large-scale event, the logo of the 2017 Winter Universiade will be exclusively printed on the labels of the Coca-Cola Company products all over the country including Coca-Cola (origin) 500 ml and BonAqua 500 ml.

“One of the key factors which demonstrates the value of any project in the world are the partners of the Organizing Committee. We are happy with the fact that today we are signing a contract with the Coca-Cola Company – one of the leading world’s transnational companies represented in our country. The Coca-Cola became an official partner of the Winter Universiade 2017 in Almaty”, Nail Nurov the Head of the Almaty 2017 Winter Universiade Organizing Directorate stated.

The Head of the Directorate noted that the Universiade gives an opportunity to present its partners to the audience of over 1 billion television viewers. None of the international events staged before in the territory of Kazakhstan had such a television coverage.

In the framework of the cooperation, in order to raise awareness and drawing further attention of the general public for the Games, the Coca Cola will also launch an outdoor advertising campaign.
