2017 WU OC signs More Partners

ALMATY – Recently, the Almaty 2017 Winter Universiade Organizing Directorate signed more partners for the upcoming Games. The largest confectionary products manufacturer in Kazakhstan ‘Rakhat’ JSC came on board as well as ‘Dr. Web’, a leading Russian developer of information security software.

‘Rakhat’ JSC will provide over 8.5 tons of chocolate, waffles and cookies for the Winter Universiade. During the press-conference, the Deputy Director of the Almaty 2017 Winter Universiade Organizing Directorate Kamila Lukpanova noted the importance of support provided by local companies in organizing the student winter games in Almaty.

The packages of the ‘Kazakhstanskiy’ chocolate and ‘Na zdorovya’ cookies will be decorated with the patterns of the Winter Universiade in Almaty. This was announced by the Economic and Finance Director of the ‘Rakhat’ JSC Zauresh Toleubayeva. Besides, the ‘Rakhat’ company will provide other confectionary products for the guests and participants of the Universiade in Almaty.

More than 2 tons of confectionary products are aimed for the needs of participants of the 2017 Winter Universiade in the Athletes’ Village, while the rest of the products will be used in the sport venues of the Universiade, during the official events, conferences, etc.

‘Dr. Web’ on the other hand will provide information security for the 2017 WU.

‘Dr. Web’ is a leading Russian developer of information security software which will provide security for computers, mobile devices and servers involved in the Winter Universiade 2017. For this purpose, the company will provide the latest products aimed to provide information security. Moreover, the lead specialists of ‘Dr. Web’ will take care of the IT infrastructure of the event. A corresponding cooperation agreement was signed between the ‘Dr. Web – Central Asia’ and the Almaty 2017 Winter Universiade Organizing Directorate.

‘Dr. Web’ has a successful experience in providing security for information resources of such a large sporting events. In 2011, the company provided information security for computers and mobile devices involved in the organization of the 7th Asian Games in Kazakhstan.
