TAIPEI CITY – The Taipei Organizing Committee opened entries to the world for the Intention of Participation from 19 to 30 August, including great sports powers, such as the United States, Japan, China, Korea and France. Within these 3 months, TUOC has received 105 intentions from countries expressing their willingness to participate in the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade. While the general entry form was released on 19 October, currently at least 45 countries are ready to submit the general entry.
The TUOC continues to draw attention from the world. The members of Parliament in the Bundestag, Stephan Mayer and Barbara Woltmann, visited the CEO of the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade Organizing Committee, Li-Chiung Su, on 17 November. MP Mayer promised to strive for providing homeland security intelligence to Chinese Taipei by acquiring data from the INTERPOL database, which is an important security measure against terror attacks. Another visitor came from The Representative Office in Taipei for the Moscow-Taipei Coordination Commission on Economic and Cultural Cooperation. Dmitrii Polianskii met with the Deputy CEO of Taipei 2017 Summer Universiade Organizing Committee Fang-Fan Cheng on 10 November. Dmitrii Polianskii highly appreciated to TUOC for the accommodation and transportation arrangements.
