Looking for a senior management position in the world of sport event delivery? If so, you should definitely check out the open positions with Agenzia Regionale Universiadi (ARU), the organising committee bringing the Summer Universiade to Napoli, Italy during July 2019.

It’s particularly fitting that Napoli should host the 30th edition of the Summer Universiade as the event got its start 60 years ago in Torino.

The Summer Universiade is a flagship event of the FISU Sports Events programme, one that brings up to 12,000 athletes and officials together for 12 days of elite multisport competition across a host of Olympic disciplines.

Italy’s Irene Siragusa won two athletics sprint medals at Taipei 2017, including gold in the 200m with a personal record time of 22.96 seconds. Italy’s strong interest in sport and experience hosting events will help organisers put on a first-class event.

Imagine calling Napoli’s historic centre, Centro Storico, home, with natural splendours like the Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast nearby. As a backdrop for life as a sports event manager, it doesn’t get much better than this.

All told, eleven department head positions are available. All the positions are open to experts in the functional areas that also can communicate with proficiency in both English and Italian.

All positions come with a 90-week work contract. Those selected with have an option to start working on 1 December 2017 and staying on through to 15 November 2019.

You can apply now for all positions. But hurry, the application period closes with a hard deadline set for next Monday, 13 November, 18:00 CET. Prospective applicants can send your CV to:   [email protected]

If you have your language certificate (B2 level) handy, send this as well. ARU will walk applicants through the formal process of applying for work in Italy thereafter.
