The legacy and sustainability of sport conference registration is open until the end of October
KRASNOYARSK — The tradition of the Universiades being where sport and education converge continues in the heart of Siberia as the world’s finest winter sport student-athletes compete at the 29th Winter Universiade.
While the competition kicks off on the 2nd of March and runs 11 consecutive days, representatives the scientific community from around the globe will discuss the achievements of modern science in the field of sport, including the preparation of athletes and the organisation of major sports events for three days during the Universiade, from 5-7 March.
The theme of the FISU World Conference is “Student sports events: innovation for legacy and sustainability”. The Conference is jointly put on by FISU and the Krasnoyarsk 2019 organising committee, with the Siberian Federal University the event’s educational partner.
The scientific programme of the FISU World Conference lasts two days and comprises panel discussion, plenary sessions, meetings with experts. The participants will attend the competitions and cultural events of Winter Universiade 2019.
Students, postgraduates, scientists, representatives of the sports community who study the innovations in sport can take part in the FISU World Conference. To this end, they are to register on the site of the event before 31 October 2018, and send the abstracts of the scientific report to the e-mail address [email protected].
About 300 delegates from Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa, Australia, as well as from Russia, including the members of NUSFs who will come to compete at the Winter Universiade 2019 are expected to attend the Conference.
It should be noted that scientific conferences are traditionally held during the Universiade on the initiative of FISU. Thus, the previous FISU World Conference was held in Taipei within the Summer Universiade 2017.
