Olympic champion boxer Patrizio Oliva opens volunteer campaign

Applications for volunteering now open! 

The campaign for the recruitment of volunteers for the Napoli 2019 Summer Universiade, scheduled for July 3-14, was presented today inside the Mostra d’Oltremare and officially launched by Italian sports legend, boxer Patrizio Oliva. Oliva, who won a gold medal at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow addressed the audience of potential volunteers and proudly spoke of his region and the opportunity the Universiade presents.

 

“It is a unique opportunity for young people to put their knowledge into practice in various sectors, from marketing to hospitality,” he said to them. “In life, as in sport, the one with the best technical competencies does not always win, but the one who knows how to apply it in the best way usually does.”

 

“Being a Universiade volunteer is an experience that enriches your CV and these benefits will unfold over time,” added the general coordinator of Napoli 2019, Adam Sotiaridis. 

 

“My daughter has applied to participate as a volunteer as well,” revealed Patrizio Oliva.
