KRASNOYARSK – Nearly nine months after the Krasnoyarsk 2019 Winter Universiade was held in Siberia, the legacy continues as the venues have become hotspots for local teams and families alike. Recently, it was reported that the main Curling venue of the Universiade has now become home ground for the Yenisey volleyball club.
More venues continue to work for the citizens of the region. The Raduga Multifunctional Sports Complex includes an expansive 50-metre swimming pool with 10 lanes.
The locals have taken to indoor all-weather swimming in droves as families flock to the venue for various swimming classes and programmes that are arranged as 45-minute sessions.
The Biathlon Academy invites Krasnoyarsk residents to visit the fully equipped training hall or gym. The spacious facility is equipped with professional cardio machines, weight machines to work on a specific muscle groups and an innovative active motion system that perfectly balances resistance, biomechanics and trajectory. The training hall is open to public for fifteen hours every day.
The beautiful Crystal Ice Arena has become a popular destination among locals for skating,with mass skating taking place on weekends. Residents can bring their own equipment or in fact rent some if they need. The facility has become a hub for children and families, ensuring that local populations continue to benefit from the legacy of the Universiade.
