Lucerne 2021: Media accreditations are open!

Registrations to take part in covering the 30th edition of the Winter Universiade in Lucerne, Switzerland, are now open to the media, worldwide. The world’s largest winter multisport event for student-athletes begins in less than five months, and the time has come for media representatives to register themselves to take part in this major international event.

The Lucerne 2021 Winter Universiade will take place on 11-21 December in Central Switzerland and Grisons. Student-athletes from all around the globe will join in this major international winter-sports competition to showcase their skills and prove themselves to be the best student-athlete in their sport. From alpine skiing, snowboard, freestyle, biathlon, ski orienteering and cross-country skiing to ice hockey, curling, short track speed skating and figure skating, you will be sure to find the winter sports that are of interest to you.

 

In addition to the attraction of a large-scale international sports event, the Winter Universiade is also a time when future champions and upcoming sports stars are discovered. This is where you will find the names of tomorrow and the personalities that shine bright. University sports is on the rise, and is a prime environment where initiatives, innovation and sustainable development can thrive and serve as an example for the future of sports, community development and sustainable actions.

 

FISU and the Organising Committee of the Lucerne 2021 Winter Universiade are pleased to invite media representatives from all around the globe to join in on this unique opportunity, following a turbulent time for international sports events. The Lucerne 2021 Winter Universiade was initially scheduled to take place on 21-31 January 2021 but had to be postponed until the end of this year because of the covid-19 pandemic.
